It is AMAZING how technology has changed and most of us guys are still using finders from YEARS ago with just traditional sonar. Have a look below where on both the traditional sonar and Downscan show no fish but with sidescan I saw 2 decent fish about 20ft away on my left side. My line was not even in for 2 hours and I had this 14kg on the bank. It turned a blank into a successful trip. Since I change to the Lowrance Elite Ti2 series combined with the FishTec charts it has really produced more fish on the bank for me.
